Website Support & Maintenance
Software needs care after launch. I provide ongoing technical support: fixing what breaks, updating what ages, and answering the 'can we change this?' questions — for sites and applications I built, and often for ones I didn't.
What support covers
- Bug fixes — diagnosing and repairing broken features, forms, pages or integrations
- Updates — framework, library and dependency updates applied carefully, with testing
- Security attention — patching vulnerabilities and tightening configurations before they become incidents
- Small feature work — the steady stream of "can we add a field / page / report?" requests
- Performance checks — periodic audits of speed, errors and Core Web Vitals
- Deployment and hosting troubleshooting — when something breaks in the pipeline, not the code
Taking over existing sites
A common starting point: a website someone else built, a developer who disappeared, or an agency relationship that faded. I audit what exists — code, hosting, domain, access — tell you what state it's in, and take it from there. Sometimes the answer is maintenance; sometimes it's a rebuild; you'll get the honest diagnosis either way. Related: my web development and technical SEO services.
How support works
Simple and direct: you email me, we agree what needs doing, I do it. For ongoing arrangements we agree on scope and cadence — no lock-in contracts, no tickets disappearing into a void. The goal is that your website is one less thing to worry about.
Where I work
Support clients range from businesses in Lahan and nearby Siraha towns to organisations in Kathmandu — what matters is responsiveness, not geography. When something breaks, you email a person, not a portal.
Frequently asked questions
Can you maintain a website you didn't build?
Usually, yes — after an audit. I need access to the code and hosting, and I'll tell you upfront if the codebase is in such a state that maintaining it is money down the drain.
How fast do you respond?
For urgent breakages (site down, forms failing), quickly — same day whenever possible. Non-urgent changes are scheduled within the agreed cadence. You'll never be left wondering whether your message arrived.
Is there a minimum contract?
No lock-in. Support works best as an ongoing relationship, but you should stay because it's useful, not because a contract says so.
What does maintenance cost?
It depends on the size and state of your site and how much ongoing work you need — a small static site and a busy web application are different worlds. After a look at what you have, you get a clear quote.
Site causing you stress?
Tell me what's broken, outdated or worrying you. I'll look and give you an honest picture before any work starts.
